SEMIX Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) applies to personal data collected and processed by SEMIX PLUSO, spol. s r.o., as the data controller (hereinafter referred to as “SEMIX” or “data controller”), such personal data pertaining to users (hereinafter referred to as “user”) when using the website and the services provided on the website (hereinafter referred to as the “website”).
Until 24 May 2018, the processing of personal data is governed by Act No. 101/2000 Coll., on the protection of personal data and on amendments to certain acts (hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Data Protection Act”). As of 25 May 2018, the processing of personal data is governed by Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation) (hereinafter referred to as the “GDPR”).

SEMIX is entitled to amend this Policy. Please see the top of this Policy for information on when the Policy was last updated. Changes to this Policy will take effect when the updated version is published on the website. If you use our website after the updates have been made, this will be understood as your acceptance of the updated version of the Policy.
Some parts of the website may require users to provide personal data in order to take advantage of certain services offered by the website (e.g., registering on the website or processing orders) or to participate in a particular activity (e.g., consumer competitions).
SEMIX is entitled to combine the data provided with other information, whether obtained on the website or by other means, including, for example, the user’s previous orders.
While browsing the website, certain information may be collected passively using various techniques and tools, such as IP addresses or cookies (i.e., without customers actually providing any information).

In some cases, SEMIX may obtain information about users either directly from the user or from other lawful sources. Some of the information that SEMIX obtains in this way may be classified as “personal data” in accordance with Section 4(a) of the Personal Data Protection Act and Article 4(1) of the GDPR.
Personal data is only processed for the necessary purposes of the company for lawful reasons and only for as long as necessary. The company does not pass on personal data to others for marketing or other commercial activities. If data that does not relate to unidentified or identifiable persons can be linked to data relating to unidentified or identifiable persons (e.g., your name can be linked to your geographical location), SEMIX will keep such merged information as personal data as long as the data is linked (e.g., recommending the best form of delivery of goods according to your address of residence).
If the user provides SEMIX with the relevant personal data, he/she does so in accordance with the applicable law.
The user has the right to access his/her personal data. The data controller shall provide the user, free of charge, with a copy of the personal data subject to processing together with other related information. The data controller shall be entitled to charge a reasonable fee for any additional copies requested by the user.
By exercising the right to rectification, the user also has the right to request the completion of incomplete personal data.
In the event that the user exercises the right to erasure of personal data, the data controller is obliged to erase the relevant personal data, unless the data controller needs to process and store specific data for the fulfilment of its legal obligations.
The user has the right to request the data controller to restrict the processing of personal data.
As regards the right to data portability, the user has the right to receive his/her personal data from the data controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and has the right to transfer that data to another data controller. Where technically feasible, the user has the right to have his/her personal data transmitted directly from one controller to another.
As regards automated decision-making and profiling based solely on automated processing (including profiling), the user has the right to be excluded from such activities.
Every user has the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority (Office for Personal Data Protection) if he/she believes that the processing of his/her personal data violates the legislation governing the protection of personal data. Every user has the right to effective judicial protection in the event that he/she believes that the processing of his/her personal data has violated the legal provisions governing the protection of personal data, and has the right to seek compensation in court.
Until 24 May 2018, a user who becomes aware or believes that the data controller or data processor is processing his/her personal data in a way that is contrary to the protection of the user’s private and personal life or contrary to the law, in particular if the personal data is inaccurate in relation to the purpose of the processing, shall also have the right
